Be aware that they are best if both tracks are ceiling fitted within the bay!
For a wall-mounted option please get in touch with a photo of your bay window.
In general the inner sheer curtain track will be ceiling mounted just within the bay. Following around the front lip of the window sill. Allowing for long sheer curtains to be hung.
Then the outer main curtain track will also be be ceiling mounted within the bay. There will be 10cm gap between these ceiling mounted tracks within the bay. Then the main track will usually return out of the bay on each side. Then secured using wall brackets.
On accasion when the ceiling in the bay is at the same height as the ceiling in the room. Then the main curtain track returns will also be ceiling mounted.

To place your order for a regular double bay window curtain track all you need to measure is the full width around your bay (NOT just across the bay). Then if you want the curtain to hang out of the bay on each side in the room. ***This will clear more of the bay side windows giving more light***
If your track is returning out of the bay then add another 20 to 30cm for each return on to the size around your bay.
Basically Measuring your bay window. We work out how the 2 tracks will fit within the bay.
<DON'T worry about being super accurate at this stage. Within a few cm's is fine. You will need to be more accurate when sending your final sizes. Again you don't need to worry as you will have a template to follow.

If you are fitting your bay track to the ceiling. Either in the bay only, or on the returns as well. Then you may want to add "brakes" to your order. Watch this video and see what they are.
When it comes to the middle of your bay track. You have 3 options to choose from. The first 2 options are an overlap arm added to the front main track only. Either "right over left" or "right over left". The 3rd option is to have just the connecting tracks with our heavy duty joining splice.
Choosing the overlap arm option. Allows your curtains to completely overlap when closed. This is a great option if you plan on hanging blackout curtains. As you get almost total light block from the middle of your window.
I even recommend it on non blackout curtain windows. As the curtains hang really well when closed. If you choose the track joining splice option for the middle of your track. Then your curtains will simply butt up together when closed.
